Outage : Dialup auth and dataflow issues --- Update (29/06/2010 14:45:32) --- The carrier has confirmed there are multiple issues under investigation. We are currently investigating this issue. Outage - Resolved A slight DNS problem yesterday effected email addresses using the @ugl.com.au domain name This issue has been recitified =============================== Outage : SA/NT & ACT upgrades Service Type/s: ADSL Scheduled : Scheduled Severity : Medium Start : 31/05/2010 23:30:00 End : 31/05/2010 23:59:00 Status : Open There will be a 5 minute loss of service for ADSL users in SA/NT & ACT on Monday 31st May, between 23:00 and 23:59. This is required for completion of capacity upgrades in these states.

There will be outages of upto 20 minutes affecting WA / ACT / SA / NT / TAS dsl

0200:0500 the morning of the 12th May. This maintenance window is required for fibre relocation works to be completed, which will affect our Telstra internet transit.
--- Update (12/05/2010 15:33:59) --- These works were completed successfully by 02:30 AEST. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Outage : Repeat NSW dial data flow (135814373) Service Type/s: Dialup Scheduled : Un-scheduled Severity : High Start : 26/04/2010 13:43:00 End : 27/04/2010 13:43:00 Status : Closed A known issue exists with NSW dialup. Users are able to authenticate but are unable to get data flow. This has been isolated to our port carrier, and a fault has been raised. --- Update (27/04/2010 08:59:46) --- Hardware needs to be replaced by our upstream carrier. Awaiting further updates from vendor. No ETR. --- Update (27/04/2010 09:45:30) --- The ETR advised as 27/04/2010 12:00:00. --- Update (27/04/2010 10:24:55) --- The affected hardware has been replaced. This outage should now be resolved. ------------------------------------
NSW ADSL Service distruption Wednesday 21st April Service Type/s: ADSL Scheduled : Scheduled Severity : Medium Start : 19/04/2010 06:30:00 End : 19/04/2010 07:30:00 There will be a five minute break in service for QLD dsl services and PIPE peering between 0630-0730 AEST 19th April. This is required for us to complete initial migration works for capacity and redundancy upgrades on this transmission path.
It is expected that your ADSL service will resume automatically after the service break, if not, please turn your modem off for a few minutes & then back on again
This outage is part of our continual upgrade process & will result in better & more stable services in the future ------------------------------------------------------------------ --- Update (21/04/2010 17:26:53) --- These works will now be completed tomorrow morning. QLD ADSL Service distruption Monday 19th April Service Type/s: ADSL There will be a five minute break in service for QLD dsl services and PIPE peering
------------------------------------------------------------------ Tuesday 16th March 2010 Outage Resolved The replacement hardware was installed/configured at 1930 AEST - user traffic has since been normal. Upstream engineers continue to monitor the faulted device, however the intermittent issue should now finally be resolved. ------------------------------------ Monday 15th March 2010 We've received further notice of a dial-up problem in NSW, similar to previous reports: 1. users can authenticate 2. users are unable to browse 3. the session is cut out approx 30 seconds after connecting The matter has been escalated to the carrier for investigation. ------------------------------------------------------------ Saturday the 13th of March, 2010 Our New network is scheduled to begin conversion in the following week. You should not notice any disruption to service with only a brief disconnect/reconnect. This will take place between 0200-0400 AEST the week of 15-20th March. This conversion to our new network will result in many improvements, please read this article here for the full list ----------------------------------------------------------- Wednesday the 10th March, 2010 On Saturday the 7th of march, one of our datacentres in Melbourne was effected by the freak storm. As far as we can understand hail blocked drains, & caused water to backflow, damaging a power supply rack, which controlled our authentication servers. This problem was rectified in the wee hours of Sunday morning - about 3:30 am As this was a 1 in 100 year storm, we do not expect a re-occourence --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Friday 5th March , 2010 Network Disruptions We experienced a widespread disruption this morning, which involved loss of connection, or no data flow This issue has now been rectified If you are unable to connect to the internet, please switch your modem off for 5 mins & then back on again ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Monday 1st March 2020Dial up Outage - No data flow Was resolved on Sunday afternoon 28th Feb If you are still unable to get a connection to the internet, even though your dial up connections says its connected, please contact the support department -------------------------------------------------------Friday 26th Feb, 2010 Outage Notification |
