DNS Changer Malware PDF Print E-mail
Written by Australis Support

Australian Government Check Site

Please visit this Australian Government website to see if your computer is infected with the DNS Changer Malware

http://dns-ok.gov.au/

What is DNSChanger?

DNSChanger is a class of malicious software (malware) that changes a user's Domain Name System (DNS) settings, enabling criminals to direct unsuspecting internet users to fraudulent websites and otherwise interfere with their web browsing. It has been associated with 'click fraud', the installation of additional malware and other malicious activities.

In November 2011, the FBI closed down a ring of cyber-criminals believed to be responsible for the worldwide spread of DNSChanger.

An estimated four million users were affected worldwide. To avoid these victims losing their internet service, the FBI worked with the Internet Systems Consortium (ISC) to set up and operate a temporary but correct DNS solution, while giving ISPs the opportunity to assist their customers to remove their potential infection.

This temporary solution is expected to be switched off as early as 9 July 2012. It is likely that users infected by DNSChanger will be unable to connect to the internet when the temporary DNS solution is switched off.

HD Internet Phone - It's Here! PDF Print E-mail
Written by Australis Support

You asked for it. We promised it. Now it's here. Slash the cost of your monthly landline bill with high-quality internet telephone that plugs right in to your modem.

How does it work? HD Internet Phone (you may know it as VoIP) takes the analogue signals audio signals you transmit when you talk on the phone and turns them in to digital signals that can be transmitted through your internet connection. This clever leap in technology allows you to use your internet connection to make FREE or low cost calls all over Australia and the rest of the world to any service!

And unlike internet voice services like Skype you can use your telephone. Simply plug an Analogue Telephone Adaptor (ATA) right in to your modem and plug you telephone in to the ATA and you're set; the only difference you'll see is in your bill.

We have 6 plans to choose from. All of our plans come with free local and national calls, plus extras to sweeten the deal:

World Caller - Free calls to 30 countries and free mobile calls to 10 countries - special! $14.95pm for the first 3 months (normally $23.95pm)
Mobile Caller - Free mobile calls, plus free calls to 5 countries - $34.95pm
NZ Caller - Free calls to NZ home and mobiles - special! $14.95pm for the first 3 months (normally $23.95pm)
UK Caller - Free calls to UK home and mobiles - $39.95pm
Inter Caller - Free calls to 50 countries and free mobile calls to 20 countries - $49.95pm
Biz Callers - Free calls to mobiles, plus free calls to five countries and the added benefit of 2 lines out - $49.95pm

It doesn't stop there, though. Because you need a telephone line to have the internet but you won't be using the line for calls, we're offering a special discounted price for our VoIP users: $24.95pm line rental.

Click here for more information or call us now on 1800 288 871.
